Questions? Answers.

You might be wondering.

What should I do if my pet is limping?

Try to minimize their activity until they can be evaluated by a veterinarian. For your dog this may include NO off-leash play, no rough housing, and maybe resting in their crate when unsupervised. Try to limit leash walks to potty outside only. For your cat we recommend limiting their ability to jump onto surfaces and avoid outdoors. Do not give any oral medications and avoid bandages until your veterinarian evaluates your pet. Medicating your pet without the guidance of a veterinarian could lead to accidental toxicity. Bandaging a wound without the guidance of your veterinarian could cause accidental stricture of the limb resulting in blood loss, infection and requiring additional treatments.

How much does a sick exam cost?

We charge $75 for sick exams; this includes any reason for exam other than preventive care. Additional fees may apply to walk in and emergency exams.

What are some symptoms of a sick pet?

If your pet is feeling unwell, you might notice symptoms like lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or changes in behavior such as hiding or irritability. Additionally, watch for signs like coughing, sneezing, or unusual discharge from the eyes or nose. If you observe any of these symptoms, it's important to contact us for a thorough check-up.
